Prima Enjoys Successful Launch at EPIC 2018 – By Maria Johnson

EPIC2018

After year-long preparations and careful planning, Prima Software US has finally launched at this year’s EPIC show in New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA). The event took place from 15-17 October and was hosted by TriMega and Independent Stationers.

We caught up with Prima’s Marketing Executive, Maria Johnson, for a post-event lowdown:

“After a short coach ride (courtesy of the organisers) shared with other fellow attendees, we arrived to the magnificent Hyatt Hotel – the home for this year’s EPIC show. Most of the day was spent preparing the special Prima gifts for the show, although we made sure not to miss the anticipated Welcome Reception. It was an evening of unforgettable experiences: exquisite cuisine, great cocktails, enchanting music from Virtuosa and, most importantly, a fantastic opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new friends and networking partners.

The following day was divided between setting up the Prima Booth and taking advantage of attending the educational seminars and learning from our peers. Amongst the most popular sessions were ERP systems & E-commerce Strategies for your Future, led by OP industry veteran TJ Crane (President, PTC Associates) and Amazon, the Invisible Competitor, expertly delivered by Mike Tucker, President & CEO of NOPA. What all the sessions had in common was a refreshing, very high level of engagement and interactivity between presenters and delegates, with plenty of questions asked.

On Tuesday evening the incredible Mardi Gras was EPIC, as we visited the World Float Den for a fantastic night of fun, food and festivities. The guests enjoyed NOLA’s premiere party band Mojeaux and danced the night away.

Finally, the long-anticipated day has arrived – a chance to showcase Prima Software to the Office Dealers in the US. Within minutes of the hall opening, booth 115 was buzzing! Visitors were eager to find out about the capabilities and features of Prima. Everyone had a snapshot of our software and had nothing but compliments on the advantages of a true cloud back office (Prima Cloud), webstore (PrimaGO), mobile (Proof of Delivery App) and data in one seamless package.

The show culminated in the ‘Let the Good Times Roll’ prize draw reception, with a myriad of amazing prizes. The lucky Prima prize winner was Roy McSpadden from Burris Inc. Congrats Roy! 😊

The motto of this legendary event was Prepare to Disrupt Ordinary and, indeed, Prima software has caused an out-of-ordinary sea of interest amongst the independent dealers.”
